Westlawn Day is a perfect example of why Westlawn Elementary School is more than just a school. It’s a community and an extended family! Families enjoyed the day. Teachers hosted games, fun press on tatoos, face painting, spinning art, photo booth, cake walk, and food. Mr. Graham, PTA parent, coordinated the event, got donations and recruited lots of volunteers, including our sixth graders. Thank you Mr. Graham! AND thank you PTA Board for your support and volunteer hours. Sixth graders helped set up and clean up. Parents and staff made desserts for the cake walk AND donated wonderful raffle gifts. A grandmother even made empanadas for her granddaughter to share with everyone. DC LAX held mini lacrosse clinics. Students danced to the DJ outside. Boy Scouts sold popcorn and directed the go cars. It was an exciting morning with laughter, smiles and lots of FUN! Thank you to everyone who made Westlawn Day such a success!
