We LOVE Junior Achievement Day! Volunteers from Baker Tilly taught Westlawn students economics lessons. THANK YOU Baker Tilly for your time and your generosity. Baker Tilly also donated $3,000 to Westlawn which will be used for student needs in 2016-2017 school year.
Board of Supervisors offered a proclamation for Fatherhood Awareness Month at a recent meeting. This is significant in so many ways. Westlawn also recognizes the important role of moms and dads. Starting this fall Westlawn will have a Dad’s Parenting Group. This will be in partnership with Fairfax County Department of Family Services Children, Youth and Families Division. One of the graduates of a Dad’s Parenting Group accepted the Fatherhood Awareness Month proclamation on behalf of the Department of Family Services at the Board of Supervisors meeting. He had his two adorable sons with him and provided some feedback about his experience attending the Dad’s Parenting Group.
