Families take advantage of summer library hours!

Families visit Westlawn’s library on Wednesday evenings! Mrs. Gutierrez, our parent liaison, extends her hours to help parents register our newest Soaring Eagles. Thank you Mrs. Chastain, our librarian, for opening the library on Wednesday evenings! Thanks also to Mrs. Gleason and Mrs. Sonley for volunteering their time to greet students and read stories.

The Egg Toss …a time honored tradition!

Teachers talk about and train all year for the egg toss. 🙂 It’s a time honored tradition that occurs on field day. The teachers  pair up, and toss eggs to each other. After each toss and catch, the teachers move further apart, toss again, and catch the eggs before the egg breaks. Mr. Newlon and Howe are reigning champions!
